What QR codes do
Simple offline-to-online access
QR codes let someone scan with a phone camera and jump straight to a destination without typing anything. That makes them useful when speed matters: menus at a table, a contact page on a business card, a schedule at an event, or a portfolio link on printed material. One code removes friction, and less friction usually means more clicks, more signups, and fewer drop-offs.
They are also flexible. A QR code can point to a website, social profile, PDF, Wi-Fi setup string, payment page, or review form. If your audience meets your brand in the physical world first, QR codes are one of the fastest ways to move them into a digital action. The best ones are easy to scan, visually clean, and designed well enough that they feel intentional instead of generic.
